	The large American flag on the south mound of Fredonia is a well-known southeast Kansas landmark that may be seen for miles around. As Fredonia is my hometown, I took the opportunity on one of my trips home to photograph the flag on a fair summer day. The cumulus clouds provided a nice background for the gigantic flag. The massive cloth is taken down periodically, and repaired by one of the Fredonia residents.
